Art Camp: Kids Creatively Beat The Summertime Doldrums

Keeping kids active and engaged over the long hot summer is a challenge most parents face. The Foosaner Art Museum offers a Summer camp for kids that exposes them to art appreciation and allows them to try their hand at various mixed mediums. The camp has an overall theme: Have Art Will Travel, exploring different cultures and their contributions to art. The art classes are taught by local Artists, Art educators and aides with a student teacher ratio of 10 to 1 or less. The ages range from 3 years old through 6th grade.  Students are taught an appreciation for art and Museum etiquette.

The Finale of the Summer Art camp will be a large student art show on August 1st and 2nd at the Foosaner Center. The show will feature the best pieces from each student throughout the summer and will be professionally hung and on display for family and friends to enjoy. For more information on the Foosaner Art Museum’s Summer Art Camp, go to  www.foosanerartmuseum.org.
