Cuban Daydreams: Dionel Delgado Gonzalez Exhibition Coming To Foosaner Art Museum

If you like vintage style Cuban art, mark your calendar for "Cuban Daydreams: Dionel Delgado Gonzalez". The exhibit opens Saturday, July 14th and runs through Sunday, September 9 at the Foosaner Art Museum in the Eau Gallie Arts District

Havana artist Dionel Delgado Gonzalez's exhibition will showcase his large scale paintings of "magazine covers;" they are reminiscent of Norman Rockwell's style, but their subjects depict everyday life in Cuba. Living in Haban Vieja (Old Havana), his inspiration comes from the characters that inhabit the surrounding streets near his studio. These paintings depict the stories of today's Cuba. He graduated from the prestigious San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts and studied for three years at the School of Crafts, Pablo de la Torriente Brau, and at the "Workshop of Manero" in Havana.

The Foosaner Art Museum is located at 1463 Highland Avenue in Melbourne's Eau Gallie Arts District.
