The 28th Annual Melbourne Art Festivalarrives in historic downtown Melbourne Saturday and Sunday, April 28 and 29. Over 250 juried artists from around the country display their work and compete for cash prizes. Sixty thousand guests are expected. Admission and parking are free.
Family fun features Kids World entertainment and hands-on art and crafts, a student art competition and art workshops led by participating artists. In addition to the traditional art show, there will be live entertainment, a 5K Flamingo Run, a food court and merchandise vendors.
Enjoy live musical entertainment Saturday 1p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday 1p.m. to 5 p.m.
The main musical attraction is southern rock band and recording artists, Georgia Satellites onstage Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
