Have you ever wanted to know more about Black Holes and Space Science in general? If you’re anything like me and are woefully ignorant about such topics, here’s an opportunity to get out of your comfort zone and learn something new, mysterious and exciting.

The next Public Science Lecture Series presentation at Florida Tech will outline key properties of black holes and will answer the question “What are black holes and why do astronomers believe they exist?"

Florida Tech's 8th Annual Botanical Fest is the perfect opportunity to greet spring. Not everyone is interested in gardening, but few among us are immune to the human love affair with life that springtime induces. Being outdoors in springtime feels good and the vibrant loveliness of nature opens our eyes to beauty. For many, including myself, spring inspires a higher level of appreciation not just for beauty in nature, but  also for poetry, song, love and laughter.

On Saturday, February 23rd from noon to 5 p.m., the 7th Annual International Festival will transform Panther Plaza on the Florida Tech campus. This vibrant cultural extravaganza is my personal favorite among the numerous unique events held on campus throughout the year.
