International Surfing Day with Sebastian Inlet Surfrider Foundation, June 22

The Sebastian Inlet Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation is celebrating International Surfing Day on June 22 at Paradise Beach in Indiatlantic. Surfrider Chapters around the world will sponsor events throughout the weekend help protect our ocean waves and beaches through community activities.

The Sebastian Inlet Chapter will offer free surf lessons, live music with Billy Chapman, food and refreshments from Kona Brewing Company and more at Paradise Beach on A1A in Indialantic on Sunday June 22 beginning at 9am. More information is available on Facebook.

Founded in 2005 by Surfrider Foundation and Surfing Magazine, International Surfing Day started with nearly 16 domestic and one international event, and has grown exponentially to 200-plus events in more than 30 countries. Since its inception, approximately 70 tons of trash has been removed from our coastal environments.
