Atlantic Music Center hosts Pianist, John Ryan- Cool Jazz & Beachside Blues Oct 15th

As one of Florida’s premier pianists, John Ryan has been featured at the finest venues and private clubs along the East Coast for over 35 years. He performs regularly as a solo piano artist and also performs concerts and events with his duos, trios, and bands.

An exceptional pianist & singer with a rare diversity of talent, John Ryan performs music from a broad selection of genres and eras, with a performance song list in the many thousands, including an extensive repertoire of his own original compositions.

A gifted pianist from early childhood, John Ryan displayed a great propensity for improvisation and an innate ability to play nearly any song that he had ever heard. His formative years were spent performing piano and keyboards with jazz, blues, rock, and pop groups. He later combined his studies of music theory and composition with his passion for the acoustic piano and has enjoyed a 35+ year career as an in-demand solo pianist and composer.

Throughout his career, John immersed himself in the music of the Great American Songbook while developing his own unique piano style performing concerts and solo piano at the finest clubs and venues in Florida. After building his state-of-the-art recording studio, his career proceeded further into writing and recording original compositions, as well as sound scores for the film and video production industry.

John Ryan gained international exposure in 2005 as a songwriter with the release of the album ‘Words Alone, The Music and Lyrics of John Ryan’. Produced and recorded in London, the album features the music and lyrics to 17 original compositions written by Ryan. The songs were arranged and conducted by the legendary Pete Moore, and performed by the 32-piece Pete Moore Orchestra.

Panasonic Corporation commissioned John Ryan to compose and perform a musical composition, ‘Go for the Gold’, for their sponsorship of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

In recent years, Ryan’s music has been regularly featured on several HBO series and he wrote two original songs for the Australian singer, Jerin-Lei, entitled, ‘Whisper to Me’ and ‘Tricks, Lies, & Alibis’ for her debut album, “In the Dark”.

John Ryan is presently working on music/recording projects including film scores, animation sound tracks, and composing/recording new songs for an upcoming double-album CD to be released in 2016 featuring solo original music.
