Daily Bread Empowers the Less Fortunate in Our Community

Hunger, homelessness, and poverty know no color, race, gender, or age. At Daily Bread, we ensure that no one in Brevard County faces hunger or homelessness alone. We will help the whole family...the whole time. If you need us, we are here and you are welcome here.

Daily Bread empowers individuals confronting hunger and homelessness to become self-sufficient. In addition to providing a daily hot meal, we offer a comprehensive range of transitional support including case management, healthcare, social connectedness/community re-entry, employment support, and hygiene. While we do not charge for our services, they are not without cost. Help us keep our services free by making a donation TODAY!

Serving 250 hot meals each day and assisting hundreds of those in need with hygiene, employment, and wrap-around services cannot be done without the help of our faithful volunteers. Here's how you can join our league of volunteers...

How We Help

Daily Bread, Inc. ensures that no one faces hunger or homelessness alone. Our services are carefully designed to allow us to be a friend and a partner to the hundreds of individuals, children, and families in Brevard County who are experiencing hunger or homelessness. Our partnership is aimed at helping these vulnerable individuals become self-sufficient and break away from food-insufficiency or homelessness.

Daily Bread, Inc., while founded as “soup kitchen” in 1987, is far more than that today. Now, in addition to the 250 warm nutritious meals we provide daily, more than 1,000 individuals in need receive healthcare, case management, employment, transitional, and social support services. Our programs and services do not enable homelessness, they empower the homeless to become self-sufficient.

Our five-pillared program was created based on best practices and has been documented to improve health, social, and financial outcomes of the homeless, hungry, and working poor. The elements of our program are:

  1. Food & Meal Services
  2. Best Foot Forward & Way UP Employment & Re-Entry Services
  3. Fresh Start (Hygiene and transitional support)
  4. Case Management & Social Connectedness
  5. Healthcare Services
