Florida Tech's All-Faculty Band, TWITCHY Performs Jazz At The Panthereum

WFIT 89.5 FM and the city of Melbourne present Jazz at the Panthereum on Sunday, April 29, from 3 to 6 p.m. The free, handicapped accessible event will be held in Florida Tech’s outdoor Panthereum next to the Denius Student Center on Country Club Road.

The concert features TWITCHY, the all-faculty band, led by President Anthony J. Catanese on drums. The name of the band, TWITCHY, is an acronym for the names of its original faculty players. These professors donate their time and talent for charity fundraisers and benefits at Florida Tech and in the community. The band members believe that music not only enriches the heart and soul, but that music also enhances mathematical and technical learning.  TWITCHY  recently released a CD  titled “Music Makes You Smarter.”

Jazz at the Panthereum is held on the Florida Tech campus the last Sunday of the month during the academic school year. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and get ready to enjoy a pleasant afternoon of jazz, rock and community spirit. It just might make you smarter!
