Sing Out Loud Music Festival

St. Augustine's Sing Out Loud Music Festival, the largest free music festival in St. Johns County, returns for three weekends in September 2018.

With hundreds of musical acts over three weekends on multiple stages, including the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, and many more to be announced, the third annual Sing Out Loud Festival promises to be one of the most exciting and eclectic presentations of musical performances and one of the most significant festivals in northeast Florida.

The 2018 Sing Out Loud Music Festival will include performances by Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit, The Decemberists, Lucero, Rising Appalachia, The Mountain Goats, Leftover Salmon, Propagandhi, War On Women, The Weepies, Chuck Ragan, Tim Barry, Southern Avenue, The Commonheart, David Dondero, Leah Song, Al Riggs, and hundreds more acts to be announced. All the concerts are free, and the festival will be held on the three weekends between September 1 and 23, 2018.

This year, there will be reserved seating available for the September 22 Main Showcase concert featuring Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit, The Decemberists, and Lucero at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. For a minimum donation of $25, festival attendees can purchase a reserved seat or obtain access to the standing pit during this concert. Proceeds from the donation tickets will benefit the Betty Griffin Center, a local nonprofit organization that strives to end domestic violence and sexual abuse in St. Johns County.

Additionally, the festival will present “Perspectives on the Florida Music Scene: The Current State, Its Future and How Florida Artists Can Break Past the State Line” panel discussion on Thursday, Sept. 20. Panelists will include WFIT’s very own Program Director Todd Kennedy and 10 other entertainment industry leaders, including Ray Roa of Creative Loafing Tampa, John Valentino of AEG Presents, Kevin Stone of the Florida Theatre, Michael McRaney of Foundation Presents and The Social, Roxanne Gallo of The Bolt, freelance music writer and musician Dan Brown, singer/songwriter and audio engineer Christina Wagner, musician and talent buyer Tierney Tough and touring musician Jason Black. The panel will be moderated by Festival organizer and director of St. Johns County Cultural Events Division Ryan Murphy.
