SpaceX to Launch New Rocket in November

SpaceX

SpaceX’s powerful new Falcon Heavy rocket will launch from the Kennedy Space Center this November.  That’s what Elon Musk tweeted last night.  If things work out, the Falcon Heavy could launch during the same month and from the same launch pad that saw the Saturn V rumble to orbit for the first time 50 years ago.  The plan is for all three rocket cores return for individual landings – the two side boosters at the Cape, and the center core on the drone ship out in the Atlantic.  Musk has admitted there’s a lot of risk associated with the first launch of the Falcon Heavy rocket, saying it might not make it to orbit.
