Verdi EcoSchool Has Opportunity to Expand

The Verdi EcoSchool, a 501 C3, not for profit K-8 private urban farm school, is raising funds to create the Space Coast's only Urban Adventure Garden in the Eau Gallie Arts District. We have been given a tremendous opportunity to purchase the land next to the school and we are looking for sponsors to help us.

Our goal is to raise 40k by May 15th in order to facilitate the purchase.

 About the EcoSchool

Our urban farm uses sustainable agriculture practices to teach students how to "learn by doing". Young farmers are required to design and maintain their own plots and help to lead a community service project each year that exercises both problem solving and entrepreneurial skills. Learn more about the farm.

With a focus on self-awareness and mindfulness students start each day with yoga/meditation as they prepare for their learning journey. Educators utilize Conscious Discipline, a social/emotional framework  that emphasizes the school family, connection, and self-regulation.

Hands-on, project based and student centered - our learning experiences create a connection to our local community while introducing students to concepts across the curriculum. Rooting teaching and learning our place encourages students to be capable and confident community stewards.
