SpaceX Starship Update

It was 11 years ago that SpaceX launched its first successful mission. CEO Elon Musk took the opportunity this past weekend to provide an update on SpaceX’s futuristic rocket known as Starship. The spacecraft is being designed for crewed flights to the moon, Mars, and beyond. Within a month or two, Musk says a prototype of the Starship spacecraft — without anyone aboard — will blast off to an altitude of 12 miles, then return to the ground in one piece. And an orbital test flight of a refined Starship prototype could come in less than six months. Two Starships are being constructed, one in Texas and the other in Cocoa, from where it will be transported to Kennedy Space Center for flight tests.
