Lutes, harps, guitars, zithers, and a plethora of related instruments all rely on the vibrations of a plucked string, and that plucked string has fascinated humanity for as long as there has been a humanity. There are instruments of the sort in just about all of earth’s cultures, and we’ll explore just a few of them in an hour of plectral music this Sunday.
