About Melbourne Alumnae Panhellenic

Melbourne Alumnae Panhellenic is a community organization established over 60 years ago, in 1959, at the beginning of the development of Kennedy Space Center and our resulting high tech excellence. We are a gathering of sorority sisters, uniting women from Brevard County across many disparate backgrounds, to advocate for the new generations of young women in the sorority collegiate experience. Our main mission is to fund scholarships for current sorority collegiate from Brevard County - every year since our founding! - while promoting personal integrity, inter-generational participation, community service and social enrichment. We provide unique opportunities for leadership and life-long friendships.

Sororities were founded, the first in 1851, to provide a critical support system for women in colleges when campuses were not welcoming to women. Still today that support helps young collegiate women in creating their vision for their professional future in the world in a safe and healthy environment.
