In the week following a small town America school shooting, members of a community try to come to terms with who is to blame for the tragedy. It recounts the character’s stories of that day and the guilt they feel about their actions and how they may have attributed to the events that occurred despite having no knowledge or control. Due to the content of the show, it is suggested for ages 16+.

The Arlan Ropp Playwright Award was founded in 2001 to offer local Brevard County playwrights an opportunity to present original full-length plays on Surfside’s stage with talented actors and staff. Original and never produced Full Length plays are solicited and assessed by an anonymous panel of judges. The submission deemed “Best Play” will be fully produced in its entirety. The winning playwright will also be awarded a cash prize of $500. Upon completion of the production, the playwright will be encouraged to submit the play to state and national competitions.
