The Downtown Art Gallery, located at 400 Orange Street in the heart of downtown Titusville, is thrilled to announce their July Spotlight Artist, Candi Hauck Church. A masterful potter, Candi brings a captivating variety of her works to our gallery.
Since 1999, Candi has been the driving force behind the pottery studio at the North Brevard Art League. As the director, she not only teaches classes but also oversees the studio, nurturing the next generation of artists.
Candi’s artistry is a dynamic blend of techniques. “I sculpt, hand build, and throw on the wheel. My work is always evolving as I strive to work cleaner, merge methods, and explore new color palettes. The possibilities are endless, and teaching continuously inspires me to learn new things,” she shares.
Experience Candi’s extraordinary work and more thru July, during our summer hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. CLOSED SUNDAY, TUESDAY, THURSDAY. For more information, call 321-268-0122.

Green Gables remains a living history museum situated on over 1 acre of green space on the Indian River Lagoon and serves as a community outreach center for you to enjoy. Green Gables at Historic Riverview Village, Inc. has reached a milestone with the acquisition of Green Gables, the home and property. After protecting Green Gables from demolition, the next stage begins the rehabilitation of this landmark over time, transforming her to her former grandeur. The 127-year-old historic home remains “Melbourne’s Bridge to the Past”. The Wells family vision and generosity brought many firsts to the area for Melbourne. They gifted the area with Wells Park, the first auditorium, the first library, establishing the first high school, and many more community projects, all of which have been enjoyed by several generations. We invite you to come and visit Green Gables and learn more about the architecture, the family, and with your help, our plans for the future of Green Gables.
Green Gables is the 128-year-old Queen Anne historic home of the Wells family, one of the generous benefactors who played a key role in the development of early Melbourne. At this time Green Gables needs our community members to embrace the nonprofit’s vision for this architecture and family legacy to be safeguarded. Green Gables at Historic Riverview Village, Inc. is establishing a plan to rehabilitate and restore the home under the Dept. of Interior’s rules for historic properties. This will be an ambitious endeavor where we will need the community’s support to be successful.

The July Exhibition runs from Tuesday, July 2 through Sunday, August 4. Meet Nikkie Day and Iris Beate Struller at the reception on Friday, July 5, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM.
While growing up, Nikkie Day had different ideas than what she was raised to believe. Traveling the world, she witnesses various cultures in developing countries that encouraged her artistic tastes, “like the blood nourishes the body." “...I want you to feel the emotion behind the paintbrush. See beyond the rose-colored glasses and taste the fire and passion from within. This exhibition is like removing layers of an onion. The first 50 is a blueprint that was not my own. The exhibition, “The Next 40 Years” removes the mask and reveals my true colors." For many years, Iris Beate Struller has been writing and published her first book in 2018. She recently has found her passion for painting. “Combining the two really hasn’t been difficult,” she says. “Each craft requires a different focus, and I allow that to be, wherever it takes me for the day." Her exhibit, “Around Town” features water and land. Iris’ favorite subject is Life, she captures what takes place all around us.
