Earth Day Celebrations Around Brevard

Earth Day this year is Tuesday, April 22, but Earth Day events are going on throughout the month in Brevard County. Support the environment while also supporting your favorite local causes!

April 26 & 27 - Return to the Amazon and Save the Frogs

  The Barrier Island Center is screening the Eco-Film, Return to the Amazon on Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and 27 at 2 pm. This PBS exploration of the ecologically critical Amazonian habitat is also on behalf of “Save the Frogs Day.”  In an effort to raise awareness of the plight of amphibians, the scientific community has declared Saturday April 26 as "Save The Frogs Day."  

April 26 - Trash Bash 2014 with Keep Brevard Beautiful

The City of Cocoa has partnered with Keep Brevard Beautiful to bring you Trash Bash 2014 on Saturday, April 26 from 8 a.m. until noon. Entertainment, lunch, soda and water will be provided for volunteers. "Trashy" contest prizes will be awarded along with free t-shirts for the first 300 youngsters who register. In celebration of Arbor Day, a limited quantity of free saplings will also be available. Don't miss our on your opportunity to be a part of Keep Brevard Beautiful!

April 26 - Earth Day Festival at the Enchanted Forest

  The Brevard County Environmentally Endangered Lands Program and the Friends of the Enchanted Forest invite the public to the annual Earth Day Festival. The free festival takes place at Enchanted Forest Sanctuary in Titusville on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Activities include Florida wildlife, bird and reptile exhibitors, Bat Belfrys with live Florida bats, guided hikes, the Florida Native Plant Society, environmental booths, artists painting on site, children's activities, crafts, face painting and live music. Food will also be available for purchase. 

April 26 - Sebastian Earth/Arbor Day Festival

The City of Sebastian’s Earth/Arbor Day Festival will be held Saturday, April 26th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is a fun, free, family event with food vendors, environmental booths and live music hosted by a professional DJ. There will be activities for the children, a food drive to benefit local food banks and Waste Management will provide free shredding and electronic recycling for the citizens. Come on out and celebrate our Mother Earth!
