The Melbourne Chamber Music Society will present a concert entitled "Homage to Pablo Casals" featuring cellist Amit Peled, and pianist Noreen Polera. They will perform the exact same program Maestro Casals played at the Peabody Conservatory on February 12, 1915. Mr. Peled is a member of the Peabody faculty and will be performing the concert on the same cello used by Casals in the 1915 concert. The cello is on loan to Mr. Peled from Marta Casals-Istomin, Casals' widow.
