Henegar Center for the Arts Presents God of Carnage

God of Carnage Poster

February 20-March 1, 2015 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and on Sundays at 2pm.

The Henegar Center is proud to present God of Carnage, part of the Upstairs @ The Henegar series. A comedy of manners...without the manners, God of Carnage is the winner of three Tony Awards in 2009, including Best Play, and the 2009 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy. In God of Carnage two sets of parents meet for the first time to settle their sons’ nasty schoolyard brawl. But all attempts at civilized discussion quickly devolve into childlike behavior in this fast, furious, and very, very funny comedy of bad manners.

God of Carnage is part of the Upstairs @ The Henegar series, now in its second season. Opening with Spring Awakening in the 2013-2014 season, the Upstairs series aims to bring thought-provoking theatre to Brevard, in an intimate, black box theatre. This season, the highly acclaimed Proof opened the Upstairs series, followed by God of Carnage, which challenges audiences to reflect on their own seemingly “adult behavior”, and closes with the New Works Playwrights Festival, featuring original one-act plays from local playwrights.

God of Carnage is directed by Anthony Mowad, and features Mark Blackledge, Aaron Karnes, Lauren Maleski, and Holly McFarland. The show runs in the Upstairs theatre from February 20-March 1, 2015 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and on Sundays at 2pm. recommended for ages 18+ due to language.

Tickets are $26 for adults, $23 for seniors, and $16 for students, plus a small handling fee. Group rates are available for groups of 15 or more.
