In an effort to give Florida's Space Coast's youth the opportunity to learn about and be inspired by local conservation efforts, Brevard Zoo is hosting its 5th annual Youth Environmental Summit from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 23. The Summit is organized by the Zoo’s Teen Conservation Leaders and aims to give peers ages 12-18 the tools and knowledge to become involved with local conservation projects through a variety of hands-on workshops and presentations. Attendees can also attend a youth-led conservation panel, be connected to like-minded peers, learn about local environmental issues and pursue a conservation project of their own. A $15 registration fee, which includes lunch, is required; participants can register online at www.brevardzoo.org/youthsummit.
