On Wednesday and Thursday, December 13th and 14th, the Melbourne Municipal Band will be performing their seasonal concert: Jingle All the Way. Bring your friends and family to ring in the season with this 80-member band. The Melbourne Municipal Band has been performing for more than 50 years within the area. Not only does the band feature different musical genres, MMB also includes a variety of band members; some of which are professional musicians, music educators and alumni of national music groups.
The Concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Melbourne Auditorium (located at 625 E. Hibiscus Blvd.) and as always, it’s free! The band will be playing holiday favorites and new tunes, which will be conducted by Staci Cleveland. This concert also features a Pre-Show entertainment performed by the Sunshine Brass Quintet. The show is kid-friendly, especially since a special guest appearance is expected from a certain someone in a red suit. Another special addition to the show will be the Swingtimers Vocal Trio.
Before and after the concert, there will also be a food & toy drive for the South Brevard Sharing Center. Guests are encouraged to donate an unwrapped, new toy or non-perishable food item for the center.
