Parks Along the Indian River Lagoon
If you, your friends and family are ready for kayaking, sailing, fishing, boating, birding, hiking or camping, look no farther than the Indian River Lagoon! Dozens of city, county and state parks hug the lagoon along from Titusville to Sebastian. Birders will love Pelican Island and Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuges, which offer bird-watching, fishing and hiking. More than 40 of Brevard’s 100-plus parks and two campgrounds are on the lagoon - including Long Point and Manatee Hammock, Melbourne’s Ballard Park, Cocoa’s Riverfront Park and Sebastian Inlet state park. Many of these parks feature boat ramps, picnic areas and fishing. To find a park near you, just go online to Brevard FL.gov
