You wouldn’t have known that Sarah Lee and Johnny had driven down from Washington, D.C. the night before. The homespun folk duo performed two impassioned sets, mesmerizing both the folkies and rockers in the crowd. The evening highlighted their current CD release (also available on vinyl), Wassaic Way. Produced by Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy and Pat Sansone, Wassaic Way ventures off a bit from Sarah and John’s folk roots into the territory of indie rock which is also dear to their hearts.
Sarah and Johnny seemed to enjoy the evening as much as the rest of us. In fact, they’ve already offered to perform for us again this coming spring. Stay tuned!
