Sea Turtle Preservation Society Celebrates World Sea Turtle Day And Archie Carr’s Birthday

The Sea Turtle Preservation Society announces their World Sea Turtle Day Open House on Saturday, June 16 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.  The celebration takes place at 111 South Miramar Avenue (A1A) in Indialantic. The day also celebrates Archie Carr’s birthday.

Enjoy puppets, story times, clowns, silent auction, a drawing for an airline ticket, 20% off in the gift shop, sand painting, a magician, cupcakes, lemonade and turtle cookies!

The Sea Turtle Preservation Society's mission is to educate the public about marine turtles. The organization reaches thousands of people each year through public presentations, exhibits at area events, and by turtle watches during the sea turtle nesting season. The society's goal is to help maintain the current sea turtle population and to prevent a potentially irreversible decline in that population. The Sea Turtle Preservation Society welcomes everyone to join in protecting and preserving these exquisite animals.
