Brevard NOW and Zonta Club of Melbourne Present Human Trafficking Program


October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In recognition of this important topic,  The Brevard Chapter of The National Organization for Women and Zonta Club of Melbourne present "Human Trafficking - Modern Day Slavery."

The event takes place on Tuesday, October 14, 5:30 p.m. at the Blue Cellar, 924 E. New Haven Ave., Melbourne.  Speakers will address local efforts to combat human trafficking and legislation to help victims and prosecute traffickers.

Human Trafficking is a $9-$17 billion international industry with Florida ranking 3rd in the United States. The event is free and open to the public.
