American Jazz Pianist Competition - November 1st and 2nd

On Saturday and Sunday, November 1st and 2nd, the nation's top ten young jazz pianists will compete for over $10,000.00 in prizes in Gleason Performing Arts Center on the Florida Tech campus. This is the launch of the first EVER American Jazz Pianist Competition!

Everyone on the stage Saturday and Sunday is extraordinary, from the competitors to the world-renowned drummer and bassist, to the judges panel of jazz piano experts.  You will see Christian Tamburr on the judges panel, and Nottingham Jazz Competition winner Jeremy Siskind at the microphone.  You will also hear the amazing Steingraeber performance piano, which will be brought to our stage for this very occasion.

Semi-Finals & Finals Schedule
Saturday, November 1, 2014 – Semi-finals
1:30 – 4:00 pm    Trio Semi-finals
6:00 – 8:30 pm    Solo Semi-finals
9:00 pm    Finalists announced, immediately following end of competition

Sunday, November 2, 2014 – Finals
2:00 – 4:00 pm    Trio Finals
5:00 – 6:30 pm    Solo Finals with LIVE BROADCAST on WFIT FM 89.5
6:30 pm    Announcements and Recognitions (LIVE BROADCAST)

Admission to Semi-finals is $20.00 (free to students), Finals are $20.00 and a single ticket for BOTH days is $35.00.
