PROGRAM: Hungry Children, Veterans + Elderly in Brevard County

In the year 2015, in one of the richest countries on planet Earth -- the USA -- about 14.5 percent of U.S. households -- nearly 49.1 million Americans, including 15.8 million children -- struggle to put food on the table. In the USA, hunger is not caused by a scarcity of food, but rather the continued prevalence of poverty.* (see editor note)
