Love Our Lagoon Foodie & Wine Tasting Fundraiser

The Marine Resources Council (MRC) has teamed with locally celebrated Yellow Dog Café chef owners Stuart & Nancy Borton, Chateau St. Michelle Indian Wells Vineyard, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, Carroll Distributing, Land Shark, & the Art & Antique Studio & Gallery of Eau Gallie to host a “Love Our Lagoon Fundraiser” Saturday, May 19th. The event highlights an artfully blended sea faring menu, offering tastes and sips to please every palate, paired with delectable wine samplings, while serving up unparalleled charm and beauty at the Yellow Dog Cafe with the Indian River Lagoon as your backdrop. Guests will enjoy live entertainment and Caribbean steel drum of Chester Murray. MRC Executive Director Dr. Leesa Souto, will present an early preview of the first ever interactive health analysis of the entire lagoon! We now have a comprehensive data baseline on which to grade the lagoon’s health over time, to guide future restoration efforts and policy for improving water quality of the estuary. The MRC team will be on hand to answer all your lagoon questions, and showcase programs you can join to help save the Indian River Lagoon. Event also features an artisan rain barrel auction.
