This Melbourne Municipal Swingtime Band Concert which blends smooth jazz with strings, is free to the public. The second half of the concert will feature the Melbourne Community Orchestra (MCO).
Then on Feb. 1st & 2nd at 7:30pm, the Swingtime Band will join the MCO when it presents “Jazz for the Soul”. Swingtime Conductor Art Martin will lead the bands in a variety of tunes, such In a Mellow Tone, That Old Black Magic, Night Train, Serenade in Blue, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Let's Dance and Lazy River.
Popular vocalist Sally Hart, as well as the Swingtimers, will perform. The Beachside Woodwind Quintet will provide pre-show entertainment. More information at www.mmband.net or 321-724-0555.
