WeVenture Offers Business Advice During COVID Pandemic

Federal Disaster Assistance

The U.S. Small Business Adminstration is offering low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to Florida small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of the coronavirus.  Applicants may apply online, receive additional disaster assistance and download applications at  https://sba.gov/funding-programs/disaster-assistance

The SBA has a significant amount of resources being made available to small businesses in response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The SBA has significantly streamlined the online application process and small businesses should be able to apply in under 20 minutes, if you have most recent tax returns, payroll expenses and other general financial information on hand.  However, if you are unable to apply online, you may submit via paper copy.

UPDATE:  Due to high volume of applications, the SBA website experienced difficulty processing in the final weeks of March.  The application portal has since been fixed.  If you previously applied online and have not yet heard back from the SBA via email, then you may want to resubmit your application now.

UPDATE:  SBA Resources - the SBA will be hosting webinars about how to apply for EDIL loans twice a day for the forseeable future.  Email us at weventure@fit.edu to get information.
