Scott Center for Autism Celebrates 5 Year Anniversary with Open House October 4th

The Scott Center for Autism Treatment celebrates its 5th anniversary with an open house Saturday October 4th.  Free and open to the public, the event will feature food, crafts from Foosaner Art Museum, a bounce house and a host of health pre-screenings for children and adults.  For more information, visit www.thescottcenter.org or call (321) 674-8106

The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Scott Center, 150 W. University Blvd. on Florida Tech’s Melbourne campus. It is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.

Experts will offer pre-screenings in several areas, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Early Intervention services, depression and ADHD for adults and children, as well as couples therapy, adult grief and bereavement, behavior problems, social skills and childhood mood and behavioral concerns.

“I have seen the Scott Center grow from an idea discussed around our table to a thriving, essential part of our community,” said Mary Beth Kenkel, dean of the College of Psychology and Liberal Arts at Florida Tech. “I have seen the hard work that made the center’s growth and success possible. And I am excited about what the future holds, as we grow beyond our Brevard roots into Indian River County, Orlando and beyond.”

Terri Wright held the position of General Manager at WFIT from 1998-2023.
