Meet Keynote Speaker Nancy Higgs!

Keynote Speaker Nancy Higgs: former Brevard County Commissioner and lifetime lagoon advocate, recently completed the Boston Marathon. She will talk about her lifetime of protecting the lagoon as it relates to her efforts to prepare for the Marathon.  Lagoon restoration will be a marathon and a sprint! Restoring the lagoon, like running a marathon, will take dedication, commitment, perseverance, empowerment, and patience. Our lagoon community must respond to the devastation of our water with the resolve of a Fearless Marathon Runner. (Nancy ran for team 261 Fearless!)  If we can harness the full talent and potential of the lagoon community, in the long run, we can achieve a healthy return of our estuary.
