Darkside Performed by Boots on the Ground at Gores Gallery

Two American astronauts sit stranded on the surface of the moon after technical malfunctions prevent them from reconnecting with Bill Griffin, who is orbiting the moon. Tensions rise as the astronauts and Mission Control attempt to rescue a sinking ship. Bill, alone in the Command Module, loses all contact with the outside world with every revolution to the dark side of the moon. It is during this isolation that the stories of these astronauts and their families are revealed.

Our team of seven actors worked as designers, directors, dramaturges, technicians, stage managers, etc. to create a rich and collaborative production. Come join us on the Darkside!

Darkside is presented by special arrangements with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.

Boots on the Ground Theater aims to bring provocative narratives to communities across the Southeast and beyond.

Founded by graduates of Coastal Carolina University, the company uses storytelling to explore the spaces that separate us, by turning narratives into pathways for understanding, fostering conversation and empathy within disparate communities, and combating ignorance and promoting truth.
