Women Of The Waves

On Wednesday Oct. 2 at noon, Sound Waves will welcome East Coast Surfing Hall Of Fame member Sharon Wolfe and Melody DeCarlo from the Cocoa Beach Surf Museum to discuss the upcoming 4^th annual Women Of The Waves celebration October 11 & 12.

Women Of The Waves will feature a surfing social at Lori Wilson Park and a Stand Up Paddleboard adventure through the Thousand Islands as well as a cook-out with live music. The event will kick off with a local surf movie featuring many of the surfing women of Florida.

We welcome two women of the waves, Sharon Wolfe and Melody DeCarlo, to Sound Waves this Wednesday at noontime to celebrate Women Of The Waves.

Originally from Boston, Todd Kennedy began volunteering at WFIT 89.5 FM in 1992 as a late night jazz DJ. In 1998 he was hired as Director of Operations and in 2004 he became Program Director until his retirement in 2022.
